I’m going to dig deeper into some of the music that inspires me. There are a lot of different types of music that have influenced me over the years, so you never know what I may post. For example, I never really thought I’d be kicking this series off with an ‘appreciation post’ about Prof, an independent hip-hop artist from Minnesota..and here I am!
Prof is the kind of artist that – every time, I listen to another song of his, I end up liking him more, when I didn’t even think it was possible. He’s entertaining AF so I’m going to just post a few of my favorite moments of PROF here for you to enjoy. He makes banging beats, is a lyrical monster, can sing like a pro, and his videos are great.
Ready? Let’s GO!
Light Work
It all started with Light Work. I got hooked immediately. The chorus is funny and catchy as hell, so don’t be mad at me when it gets stuck.
When people tell me I’ll regret

Prof – Live & In Color
Then I watched Prof’s “Live in Color” series, and that really got my attention. Watching him perform live is where you can really see his talent shine.
Prof – Live from the Gallery
Prof’s latest series of live performances of his songs are now staged in front of art he is creating. I love seeing this, a musician creating paintings. Because why not? Each song has a different painting paired with it. So simple, so classy, while so thug at the same time lol Only this guy can pull it off the way he does.
Other than his live performances, Prof’s music videos are so entertaining. Below are a few of my favorites. One of the things that I like about these videos is that Prof casts the same group of friends in pretty much all of them. You’ll see a lot of familiar faces when you watch his channel. Squad goals, for sure!

Prof Bandcamp
I love supporting artists on Bandcamp when I can. I figured since I spent so many hours entertained by this guy since I discovered him, that I should buy his album, Horse. I bought the whole album, EVERY SONG is a banger. It’s one of those albums you could put on repeat and not be mad about it.
Keep it up, Prof. Much respect!
