DJ Red Sonya’s live DJ set, recorded at Spin Nightclub for the Distrikt Burning Man 2019 Camp Fundraiser in San Diego, Saturday August 3rd, 2019. Set time was 10:00-11:30 p.m., warming up the main room for DJ Dan, Kramer & Ben Seagren.

When you are the first person to play music at an event, it’s a great opportunity to set the vibe. I’ve been waiting for the right time to drop Justin Jay’s ‘Time‘ track on Fantastic Voyage, and I thought it was fun way to start my set. Sometimes you want to hear a song from the very beginning! I also can’t get enough of the Tame Impala ‘Let It Happen’ lyrics, and I thought these first two songs of the mix complemented each other well.

Speaking of vocals, I drop quite a few in this set, including some of my favorite house music tracks- “Back and Forth“, “Play The Game“, “What I Wanna Be“, “Are You With Me“, “Love That I’ve Wasted“, “Less Go” and of course, “Music Is The Answer“. I love when I find songs that say what’s on my mind! 😉
