Download and listen to my house music set, recorded live at Lair Nightclub in downtown San Diego on Friday, June 7th! This week’s set features some of my favorite house music artists you’ll see a lot in my sets including Phil Weeks, Riva Starr and Claptone. There’s a bunch of newer producers and record labels I’ve been discovering recently in this mix as well. I’m really feeling the lyrics in “Less Go” by ATFC. In fact, there’s a lot of vocals in this mix that I’m feeling right now. (Can you hear what I’m putting down?)
One of the highlights for me in this mix was playing an old Daft Punk song, Revolution 909. Daft Punk’s album, Homework, was one of the first records I ever purchased as a vinyl DJ, and it was inspiring to hear how it still bangs today.
I also mixed in some classics in this set – “The Drums (Din Daa Daa)” and a remix of Pete Heller’s “Big Love” – and that really brought it home for me. The full live set track list is below. Enjoy the house music mix!
