Sistawife

Sistawife is a San Diego born artist now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, her childhood home. In 2006 she stepped into the rich culture of San Francisco’s art scene and began to make a name for herself as she strayed from her original roots in music and combined her indie record collection with the techn library of then roommate, now husband, dj/producer, DrMindbender. The pair worked in radio for a short time, with intros and joiners used at two stations, LIVE105 & FREE FM, and had an article published about the political nature of their sampling in the Oakland Tribune. In the studio she creates original indie-mashups and sound collages while in front of a crowd her sets vary greatly… she enjoys everything from tech-house, to breaks, drum/bass, electro, cutups and more.

DedeeJane was introduced to electronic music in 2001. After attending many EDM events, she took her passion from the dancefloor to the turntables. Her first record was purchased in 2003. Experimenting with Hard house as her first genre she soon evovled and realized her true music passion…Breakbeats. For 15 years Dedee was involved in performance dance in Hip Hop and Jazz. That natural Rhythm was incorperated in her mixing style along with the influences of Dj Dstro, Dj Icey, Baby Anne and The Autobotz. Dedee’s style consist of aggressive seemless mixing with programming that’ll keep you on your toes as the tracks just keep coming. Her selection in breakbeats is best describedas Peak hour, Big driving bassline Nu-Skool funk with a sexy groove. DedeeJane is no stranger to the night club / Underground scene. Performing all over San Diego and Los Angeles most recently at one of San Diego’s premier venues “On Broadway.” Her Unique sound andKarizma behind the decks will surely keep party patrons on the dancefloor sweating to the sweet science of the Breakbeat culture.
